In arthroscopic surgery a tiny puncture is made in the skin over the joint through which 4 mm size special telescope, called arthroscope is introduced inside the joint. This arthroscope has small but powerful lens attached at its front and a special endoscopic video camera and cold light source at its hind end. The endoscopic camera is in turn attached to the monitor screen attached to the monitor screen attached to the monitor screen.
Dr. Trivedi is a trendsetter in the field of arthroscopy in Gujarat. After graduating from M. P. Shah Medical College & having stood 2nd in the University, Dr. Trivedi chose to follow his passion & went on to complete his M.S in orthopedics. To further enhance his skills, he chose to go to England after being selected by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following his basic training in arthroscopy at The Royal National Orthopedic Hospital (RNOH), Middlesex UK, he worked with various hospitals and world renowned specialists for a few years.
It was here that he mastered the skills of advanced arthroscopy of Knee, Shoulder, Elbow, Hip and Ankle Joints , ACL Surgery , Meniscus Surgery.
Traditional surgeries require hospital stay for a few days after the surgery. This can cause mental and financial discomfort to patients.
The ACL is one of the major ligaments in the knee that connects the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). It is main of the four ligaments stabilising knee joint.
The cushion like shock absorbers present in the knee joint is called meniscus. There are two menisci in the knee. They sit between the thigh bone femur and the shin bone tibia.
