Dr. Umesh Gupta

Dr. Umesh Gupta is a full-time Cardiologist at Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal, Bangalore, where he has been working since 2008. He can also be consulted by appointment on weekday evenings at RR Health Clinic, Rajajinagar, and Q-Med Healthcare and Diagnostics, Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. Prior to Columbia Asia Hospital, Dr. Gupta worked at Vivus Heart Centre for three years as Consultant Cardiologist. 

Dr. Gupta graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2000, followed by post-graduation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2003. He then trained for DNB Cardiology at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Heart Centre in Bangalore.

Dr. Gupta has good experience in all aspects of adult cardiology, with a special interest in preventive cardiology and emergency cardiology, and dealing with issues such as management of myocardial infarction (heart attack) and congestive heart failure. He is adept at cardiac risk assessment and screening. His patients are offered a variety of investigations and treatments for various cardiac conditions ranging from high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes management and raised cholesterol levels to problems such as breathlessness, palpitations, giddiness, chest pain (angina) and all other aspects of coronary heart disease.

Dr. Umesh Gupta also has a keen interest in research and has presented many papers at local and national level conferences. He has contributed a few articles to various newspapers and to CIMS (Current Index of Medical Specialities).
