A veteran Physician, Dr. V Balachandran is an elite Cardio Diabetologist from Kerala. He is associated with Dr Nair's Hospital which is one of the leading multispeciality hospitals in Kollam as Chief Physician for 35 years.

Dr. Balachandran holds commendable academic excellence throughout his medical education. He was awarded the 'Best Outgoing Student' in MBBS, MD as well as MNAMS for his outstanding and consistent performance.

He has been bestowed with Fellowship of various Physicians association and Societies for his continued contribution. He was awarded Fellow of Indian College Of Physician (FICP) for his Contribution to Internal Medicine And Emergency Care, Fellow of Academy of Medical Specialties for his contribution to Internal Medicine and allied Specialties, Fellow of both the Indian society of Cardiology and Cardiological Society of India (FCSI). He has been conferred FRCP (Fellow of Royal College Of Physician-Edinburgh) in 2011.

Dr. Balachandran has undergone advanced training in ICCU and IMCU for two years. He was elevated to the Faculty in Medicine and Diabetology of New Castle University, Australia. He has been awarded the degree of Graduate Diploma in Diabetology by New Castle University, Australia. He is a regional faculty in Kollam for Public Health Foundation of India in training doctors for certificate course in Diabetology and Cardio-Diabetology.

He is regularly invited as Guest Faculty in various national and local conferences. He has participated and presented more than 38 research Papers in various national and international journals and conferences.

Dr. Balachandran's special interest lies in Internal Medicine, Emergency Care and Cardio-Diabetology. He is also available for consultation at his private clinic in Kollam.
