Dr. Vishal Misra

Director of Dr. Vishal Misra Super-Speciality Eye Clinic, Dr. Vishal Misra is an accomplished and experienced cataract surgeon from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. He is adept in advanced cataract refractive surgeries including toric and multifocal IOLs. His areas of special interest include tackling all routine and complicated pediatric cataracts, glaucoma LASERs and surgery including AGV, squint and all kind of pediatric eye problems.

Dr. Vishal Misra completed his MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology, Gold Medalist) from Government Medical College, Surat in 2004. Thereafter, he did his fellowships from the reputed Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, and L.V. Prasad Eye Institute- Hyderabad. Post completing his senior residency from PGIMER, Chandigarh, he joined Prakash Netra Kendra (PNK) in Lucknow as Consultant of Cataract, Glaucoma, Refractive Surgery and Pediatric Ophthalmology. He was instrumental in establishing and developing the department of pediatric ophthalmology in PNK, Lucknow. He was the first trained pediatric ophthalmologist in private practice in Lucknow.

He has given multiple talks in regional, national and international conferences on glaucoma, cataract, strabismus and pediatric cataract management.

Being an avid academician he has supervised thesis of 3 DNB students as co-guide during his tenure with PNK Lucknow. He is actively involved in post-graduate teaching through various forums.
