Dr. Vishal Soni is a Senior Robotic & an Advanced Laparoscopic Gastro-Intestinal, Metabolic Surgeon and a Hernia Expert at the Zydus Hospitals, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Bharat.
Dr. Soni is a qualified and trained Minimal Access - Robotic Surgeon with a Fellowship & a Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery, a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Hernia & Bariatrics and a FIAGES certification. He is also a Fellow at the American College Of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Soni has a rich academic background with M.B., B.S. from the very prestigious
Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai and Masters in Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak MMC & General Hospital, Mumbai. He was further trained at Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi where he completed Gyan Burman GI Surgery & Liver Transplant Fellowship. Dr. Soni is also a certified ATLS® Provider for Trauma Care.
He has been trained by Intuitive Surgicals (USA) for Robotic Surgery on the latest generation Da Vinci Xi Robot. Based on his expertise & experience, he is now one of the Master Proctors (Trainer) for Robotic Surgery in India. He is the only trained qualified Robotic Bariatric Surgeon in Gujarat heading a Bariatric Program at Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad called GainLIFE.
He has trained numerous Surgeons in Robotic Surgery for Benign Gastroenterology - Hernia - Abdominal Wall Reconstruction & Bariatrics.
He has many firsts in the field of Robotic Surgery. He is the first Surgeon to Perform Robotic Median Arcuate Ligament Release in India and first to perform Robotic Bariatric Surgery, Robotic TARM/TARUP Surgery, Robotic ETEP-RS Surgery, Robotic Ventral Trans Abdominal Pre-Peritoneal Repair in Gujarat.
He is the first Surgeon to Perform Hernia Surgery on HandX - The hand held Robot.
He is a passionate academician with a strong zeal for surgical teachings. He leads multiple programs for surgeons like HerniaX, L.A.R.K.S & H.A.W.K.S etc. From 2023, Zydus Hospitals, Ahmedabad has been recognized as the Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery with a Fellowship Program under Dr Vishal Soni

Morning Session: 11 am to 1pm
Prior appointments preferred.
Adequate parking with valet, wheelchair/stretcher, cafeteria services, & spacious waiting area is available.
Average duration of consult: 15-30 mins.
Duration for Labs & Ultrasound with Review: 2-4 hours.
(All test facilities available in-house)
If CT / MRI advised: Follow-up next working day.
Kindly carry all previous reports / discharge summaries.
