Dr. Sanjay Marathe is a Paediatrician (Child Care Specialist) who has been practising in Nagpur since 1994. A 1990 batch MD postgraduate from Nagpur's Government Medical College, Dr. Marathe also holds the title of Diplomate of the National Board (DNB), specialising in Paediatrics.

Dr. Marathe completed his Senior Residency over a period of three years (1990-92) in New Delhi at Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre and University College of Medical Science. He served as a Child Specialist in Muscat (Oman) in 1992-93 and then returned to Nagpur to set up the Marathe Child Care Hospital in Ramdaspeth. He has been functioning as Director & Practising Paediatrician & Neonatologist at this hospital since October 1993. He has also been associated with Sengupta Nursing Home in Nagpur as a Senior Child Specialist.

In 2008, Dr. Sanjay Marathe along with nine other paediatricians decided to launch a paediatric and neonatal intensive care and surgical unit, and thus was born the 60-bed Colours Children Hospital in Dhantoli, Nagpur. The hospital incorporates a tertiary care (Level III) neonatal unit, a paediatric intensive care unit (PICU), facilities for neonatal and paediatric surgery, 24-hours emergency services, etc. Dr. Marathe serves as one of the Directors of Colours.

Dr. Sanjay Marathe has been a very active member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), having helped organise conferences as well as participated as a speaker or faculty member. He was President of IAP’s Nagpur chapter in 2005 and President of the Maharashtra State National Neonatal Forum in 2009-11. He is an accredited national trainer for IAP in various paediatric subjects.
