Dr. Arun Jain MS, FRCS, MRCS (London) and Dr. Vandana Jain are the directors of Nirmal Eye Hospital. Dr. Arun Jain did his MBBS & MS (Ophthalmology) from Baroda Medical College, Vadodara, Gujarat. He went to London in year 2000 for further studies. He did his FRCS (Fellowship) & MRCS (Membership) from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, England in 2002. He worked in England from 2000-2012 (for 12years) as a specialist ophthalmologist doing highly advanced Micro Incision Phaco emulsification Cataract Surgery in National Health Service of British Government. Cataract Surgery is the most frequently performed surgical procedure in the world. In phacoemulsification cataract surgery, the surgeon creates a circular opening in the outer shell of the cataract. He then uses ultrasound energy & instruments to break up and remove the cataract. Finally the surgeon implants artificial IOL inside the remaining shell to replace natural lens. It is a day care procedure which means that you will go home on the day of operation.
