Dr. Sanghamitra Kanungo is a Retina Specialist from Bhubhaneshwar well versed in the field of Diabetes and Age related eye diseases, Retinopathy of permaturity, Uveitis (ocular inflammation infective & non infective), these being her areas of forte. She is one of the expert consultants in Vitreo-Retina & Microsurgery at Kar Vision Eye Hospital, a one stop centre for comprehensive eye care services, all under one roof.

Dr. Kanungo is an alumnus of VSS Medical College, Burla. Her MBBS and MS (Ophthalmalogy) qualifications have being achieved through the aforementioned institution. These qualifications were further supplemented with Fellowship training in Vitreo retina, Uvea and advanced course undertaken in Macular Degeneration from an overseas institute.

Dr. Kanungo’s career path can be traced back to JPM Rotary Eye Hospital, Cuttack and Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai which were some of her past professional commitments prior to her present employment at Kar Vision Eye Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Inorder to achieve the dual objective of intellectual and professional growth, Dr. Kanungo associates herself with various CME programs as an attendee and faculty. Besides presentations, Dr. Kanungo also holds a host of publications to her name.
