Study concludes that Socioeconomic factors like mother’s education, type of family, age of parents and family history of intellectual disability were found to have significant association with neurodevelopmental outcome.

Identification and stratification of high risk helps in early intervention of these babies.
Developmental Quotient is inversely proportional to the number of neonatal diagnosis and diagnosis at 3 months earned by the baby.

Developmental assessment and passive tone and neurological exam at 3 months have predictive value and are useful for planning early intervention.

This study has given neurodevelopmental outcome of high risk newborn after application of 2 standardized Indian programs which are simple and home based. Both the stimulation programs considered mother as a therapist. Hence need of special therapies can be reduced with significant percentage of abnormality reduction (40%) shown by these programs.

This study is helpful for Pediatricians and gives comparison between screening test and detailed test. This study has found that Developmental Observation Card and Denver Development Screening Test are good screening tools which help to identify developmental delay.
