Dear Patient: Really sorry to hear the pain your mother is going through because of the dental condition. But as you have mentioned that your mother is a known case of Diabetes its very essential that proper case is taken. As in Diabetes the infections don't subside easily on their own and would need antibiotic coverage, as the immune mechanism in these individuals is a bit compromised.

Hence i would advise you to take your mother to a dentist who would check on her and do the needful. Hoping for her speedy recovery.
