chronic kidney disease is diagnosed with hypertension

Dear Doctor: ?

Dear Patient: You are diagnosed with moderate CKD caused by IgA Nephropathy with hypertension. This means there is autoimmune Nephropathy resulting in Chronic Kidney disease and hypertension as well. Due to autoimmune processes the antibody complexes get deposited in the basement membrane of the nephrons (kidneys) and hence the problem. Firstly, gastric problems can occur in your case as you are on various drug combinations. This is not to be worried as you can take antacids (for acidity) or laxatives (for constipation) after consulting your Nephrologist. Losing hair could be because of the antibodies against hair follicles. There could be autoimmune phenomena involved in your case or due to hormonal imbalance in CKD. You have to consult a Dermatologist as suggested by your doctor and get it examined.
