Dear Patient: She needs to consult a neuro surgeon, He ,after examining, will tell her if she needs a surgery or it can be adjusted with physio therapeutical exercises. These surgeries have got a high failure rate,so do consult a experienced neuro surgeon,as success rate depends on experience of the surgeon. There ARE RADIOTHERAPEUTICAL TREATMENTS FOR IT as well.for which you need to consult an interventional radiologist.

Doctor
dear rahul, scoliosis is condition of deviation of spinal alignment. if its is severe & affecting cosmetically,or affection neurologiocally ( in case there is accompaning kyphosis as in this case), it needs intervention. progression of curve depends on many factors- age of onset of deformity, onset of puberty, age of patient at presentation, type of curve, associated syndromes, etc... hence proper clinical evaluation, detailed study of successive x rays every 6 months, mri to see cord status and patients -parents expectation- these all go hand in hand to decide surgical versus non surgical management. u need to consult Spinal Surgeon who frequently deals with spinal deformity correction surgery. tk cr.
