Can i increase my height by using growth hormone injection.

Dear Patient: We feel very sorry to say this, but no we can't increase the height at age of 18 using hormones as they would result in number of side effects than the desired results. Bones fuse by the age of 16 in girls and 18 in boys. So ,it is not a good idea to increase height at this age by using hormones in a normal individual, But just as a last trial you can consult an endocrinologist and get an x-ray of your wrist joint.

Because at times due to delayed bone age in conditions like hypothyroidism, bones don,t fuse. But that decision should be taken only by the endocrinologist after examining the X-ray. What is to be kept in mind is that the side effects caused by unnecessary hormones are very troublesome.

But the person can try with good protein and calcium diet like 300ml of milk per day, 200 grams of green gram sprouts and 100 grams of non vegetarian food, one egg per day along with stretching exercises for 1 hour.
