Convulsions

I think that your son has a febrile seizure which are seizures that occur after he has a fever. I think that if he gets it after a fever then he might be having seizures because of that.

I think that you should see a Doctor to control whenever your son has a fever. You can give him Calpol syrup at 2mg/kg per day to control the fever and water sponging to control the fever.

Thanks dr. for ur quick response but not always he has fever whenever convulsions occur......also from the past four months he is hving tinnitus prob ..i hv shown to ent specialist as well but cant rule out the cause......wt the valparin tinnitus is also controlled but still it occurs sometimes......would be greatly obliged if u could just let me knoe whether tinnitus is related to convulsions or not.....& also the cause of it............just want to specify the child is normal wt good Iq level but wt the start of valparin his behaviour has changed a lot.........pls help me out as i hv spent a lot of money on his treatment but still unable to find out the cause & thereby ruling it out.
