Dr. Vijay Prakash Singh

As the Head of Department of Gastroenterology at Patna Medical College, Dr. Vijay Prakash Singh provides comprehensive and compassionate gastroenterological care to a diverse population of patients for a large variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. His contribution has also led to the establishment of the department of gastroenterology at the medical college and Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. He has built a clinical and endoscopic skill set that helps him deliver exceptional patient-centred care.

Dr. Vijay Prakash Singh is also the chief gastroenterologist and medical director of BIG Hospital Institute of Gastroenterology which is the only Centre to have facility of Endoscopic Ultrasound, Oesaphageal and rectal manometry, Breath test Analysis, and Capsule Endoscopy.

He has authored many medical research papers that are published in peer reviewed journals. He was honoured with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award by the Government of India in 2003.
