Dear Patient: Norflox-Tz has an antibiotic Norfloxacin and antiprotozoal Tinidazole in it. These are used in acute gastroenteritis with loose motions. These medicines will not only kill the harmful bacteria but also alter the normal fauna of the gut. Hence try using probiotics. Probiotics will promote and enhance the normal gut organisms. These are artificially available and as well in natural fermented foods like idli, dosa, curds, yogurt etc. try using them. Hydration of body constantly is necessary during loose motions. Use ORS solution frequently. And if did not subside, consult a good physician.
