Dear Patient: Thank you for writing to us.
Here are risk factors to getting abruption of placenta:
Previous abruption
Abdominal trauma.
High blood pressure
Substance abuse.
Premature rupture of the membranes.
Older women
Blood-clotting disorders.
Multiple pregnancy
These are just pointers but you need to see a Doctor and talk about how you can have a safe pregnancy. The Obstetrician will help you plan every week of your pregnancy and get you into a hospital as soon as needed. Also, it may be safer to have a C-section at 28 weeks to prevent abruption.
Hope this helps you. All the best.
