Sir my father is having hepatitis b. so

> Hepatitis-B is a viral infection of liver which gets transmitted by either blood (mostly) or by sexual contact.

> Once a person is infected with hepatitis, it is very difficult to eradicate the virus from the blood. In other words the hepatitis-b virus stays in the blood for life long.

> But this does not mean that it is a fatal condition, but yes we need to regularly monitor the patient's condition by doing some specific blood investigations related to hepatitis-b.

> As you know that hepatitis-b is transmitted by blood, so you should take care that you and any of your family members should not come in direct contact with the blood of the affected person.

> Hepatitis-b does not spread by sitting together, eating together but yes only thing that we need to remember is to avoid direct contact with the blood or any sort of sexual contact.

> So do not worry, once infected with hepatitis-b, the person has that virus in the blood for life long and if he is symptomatic like having abdominal pain, jaundice, poor appetite then definitely he needs to start an antiviral drugs for the same.

> As of now, as he is asymptomatic you can just wait and watch and do not worry.
