Urine test

Dear Doctor: ?

Dear Patient: I am worried, when sugar levels of my diabetic patients come to 'perfectly' normal level, like as you have mentioned above. Such patients can go in hypoglycemia and can become unconscious any time. Hypoglycemia is far more dangerous than transient hyperglycemia. I personally like to keep fasting sugar of my diabetic patient somewhere between 100 to 140 mg/dl and post meal between 160 to 220 mg/dl. So that my patient should not go in hypoglycemia. Now I come to answer about your question about insulin. That has to be decided by your physician only. It is his sole discretion, whether to continue the tablets or shift the patient on Insulin.
