The Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, more commonly known as CIIMS, is the brainchild of Dr. G.M. Taori who is the founder Director of the Institute. The Institute, which came into existence in July 1984, is a hospital and medical research institute located in Nagpur. The Institute was started with the vision to become a front line medical Institute in India offering tertiary health care services, medical education and research.
