Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai

Topiwala National Medical College is one of the best medical colleges in India. The college, which is located on A R Nair Marg in the heart of Mumbai is attached to the Bai Yamunabai Laxman (BYL) Nair Charitable Hospital, an 1800-bed tertiary health care center. The combined institutions, which were established in 1921 are affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. Later, the Brihanmumbai Mahanagar-palika took over the hospital and college.

The tertiary care hospital with several excellent speciality and superspeciality departments is situated in the thickly populated area of Mumbai. Outpatient services, which was being provided  free of charge, till recently, is now being charged nominally. The Nair Hospital offers all the ultra modern facilities and uses sophisticated technology for all its activities.
