About
The Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital was started in 1930 as Irwin Hospital with a bed strength of 350. It became to be known as LNJP Hospital in 1977, and the name was changed to Lok Nayak Hospital in 1989. The famous Maulana Azad Medical College is attached to this hospital.
The Lok Nayak Hospital is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment facilities for patients. The hospital also functions as a tertiary referral centre and, therefore, receives a large number of complicated cases. The hospital, which offers 1597 beds in the medical and surgical specialties, has a team of highly qualified and experienced doctors and surgeons who are ably supported by nursing and para-medic personnel.
