Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre, Gopalapuram

Dr. Mohans Diabetes Specialities Centre was established by Padma Shri Dr. V. Mohan, an eminent Diabetologist who has been working in the field of diabetes for over 30 years in Chennai. Dr. Mohan is the Chairman and Chief of Diabetology at the Centre, and is also the President and Director of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. The Centre is also a WHO Collaborating Centre for Noncommunicable Diseases Prevention and Control and an IDF Centre of Education.

Dr. Mohans Diabetes Specialities Centre, which is located in the Gopalapuram area of Chennai has developed into an international centre of excellence in diabetes within a very short time. The fact that over 3,50,000 patients are registered at the Centre speaks about the success and reputation of Dr. Mohan. The Centre  was conceived by Dr. V. Mohan, and his wife Dr. M. Rema, who is an internationally known specialist in diabetic eye diseases. The Centre was set up with the vision to provide true worldclass health care to diabetic patients at nominal charges, and to provide free service to the poor and needy diabetic patients.
