Hande Medical Centre, located in the Centre of the city, where Haddows Road joins Nungambakkam High Road, used to be the residence of Dr. H.V. Hande, Former Health Minister, Government of Tamilnadu. In January 2010 it was converted into a Multi Speciality Polyclinic (out patient Clinic) with various diagnostic facilities attached to it.
