Sankara Eye Hospital, Pammal

Sankara Eye Hospital was established in 1984 for the prevention, control treatment and relief of human disease.  Since 1997, the hospital has been an exclusive eye care centre with a singular vision of providing high quality care to all segments of society, rich or poor.This hospital runs a charitable eye care programme for the poor under the name "Kannoli Vision Saver" project.

So far this hospital has performed 168,980 cataract surgeries.  During 2010-11, 14188 and in 2011-12, 14781 cataract surgeries have been performed.  This year in 2012-13, 11602 cataract surgeries were done.

The three-storied hospital has 140 beds, 12 independent bath attached rooms, four sophisticated operation theatres, highly trained and committed human resource including 10 senior specialists eye surgeons.
